10 Weeks Feels like Forever!

It's been a long while, been so so busy with packing, studying working and the Reno works......now let's back track the works that have been done.

This is the common "public style" toilet. We have decided to seal off the door at the service yard and install a door along the corridor.

 We have also decided to install wall papers on two walls to hopefully make the place different. Simple yet unique, we just hope it blends in nicely........

 We visit the house when ever our ID inform us that new things are up, so are able to take some progress photos. It seems every slow when you are very eager to see the end product, and it sure feels like forever. Somehow we just feel like "y cant everything just be fix at one go!?", hahaha, then we can move in within 2 weeks. But maybe if they can do it in 2 weeks i might expect them to finish in 2 days. 

Thou we come out with the concept we wanted, but the ID was there to make sure we dont go overboard with our "weird" design or thinking. Somehow, our parents are always thinking that we will doing something silly and weird......my father would think that im going to paint the wall black, and make the place like a cave. Or my In-laws will think that we will buy cheapo dining table that can only sit 2-4 pax and it will wobble.

Sometimes i would think are we really that weird? or issit just that all parents would think their children are alway doing something silly.......maybe it's just our track record......hahaha

I wanted to have a purple wall in the master room, but i think it does not really feel right for my wife. im also fine with pink.....but i think im pushing my luck too far.....wahaha

When we start see these things we know we are see the ending soon! yapee! Glass door up, wardrobe and cabinet start coming in, hopefully there are enough storage space in the house.

The time have finally come to buying stuff......TV, Blueray player, soundbar, fridge, mircowave, vacuum cleaner, Air-con, washer, dryer, hod and hoob......etc, all done!

So Excited and Happy! Settle so many stuff liao! Thou still have many more stuff to buy!

Buy things in local is still not enough, we flew to bangkok to get more stuff for our house! Bought most of the things from a night market. It's been a long time since we shop like crazy people, from 10am till 12 midnight. We did not plan too much for this trip to Bangkok, so we got lost a few times, but my wife was patience and was there to keep me calm.

Let It Begin! - Hacking!

Long time no update, as we are busy-ing finalising our design, our wants and don't wants for our house. Building our house is really, lots of thinking for the future, predicting how to maintain, emotion, negotiation for better deals, choices for everything, time taken, places to go, things to see.....etc.

All things that needs to be remove have been removed, Walls that need to hack have been hacked.

Finally, renovation have started. This process is really long. Somehow, when the reno have not started, we would wish for it to start "NOW", but when it start, we would wish it finish "Now"......cant wait to move in. Life is a journey, so is building our dream house. Choosing everything from taps, tiles, door, lock, colour, wall paper, lamp, table, chair......etc, we did it together. But the good thing is we have the same thinking and liking.

Thanks my wife for all the patience, as she can have the stamina to finish choosing the right items for our house. Let's Go Reno!!

Thanks for all that have came over to take view at our empty house. Had great fun having you all around. We had a great get together after the house visiting.

Nice view right......hehehe.....Have checked the house and found some cracks and hollow tiles. Pushing for HDB to work on the defects....so that my reno work can start.......not sure if in time to move in before the Chinese spooky festival.

Small place but good enough, price is also "affordable" with reference to our garment standards......as we have pay rental for the next 30years which by then im almost 2 feet into the wooden box. Its really scary how much a "affordable" flat of 92sqm could cost now. The price of flats are going up faster then i can finish typing my blog.......working so hard just to keep our head above the water, just to maintain a house and a family.

Our pay are not moving as fast as the prices of things. All the shops we went are telling us how this and that thing have increase in price due to this and that, but our bosses are not saying becoz of this and that we will up your salary.
